Both mother and baby are doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel SMITH and children were Friday evening dinner guests of Mrs. Mary MASDEN. Mr. SMITH is our new principal. Mrs. James HOAGLAND has recently returned from the hospital and is doing nicely. These are the following who were voted as High School Cheerleaders of our Lebanon Junction High School Seniors: DeLois CRADY and Rosemary SWEAT; Juniors, Betty Gayle COX and Kaye SAMUELS; Sophomores, Gwendolyn McCUBBINS and Lois Kay JENKINS; Freshmen, substitute Elizabeth SULLIVAN. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Len SMITH were Mr. and Mrs. Edward SMITH and Miss RINGENBERG of Ashton, Illinois. While here they all visited relatives in New Hope, also the Smoky Mountains, Lincoln's Farm and other points of interest here. Mrs. Mary RODGERS, age 87, formerly of here, passed away September 12. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Maude FARMER, Mrs. Lelia HUBER, Mrs. Ann WRAY and Mrs. Monzelle WATERS; one son, Mr. L. O. RODGERS. Services were held Tuesday at the residence. Interment, Lebanon Junction Cemetery. Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Will HOLBERT were his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed HOLBERT. Mrs. Rosa SWANNER is ill at her home at this writing. Anne BOONE has entered the convent at Nazareth , Ky. Anne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. BOONE. These are the following 1959 graduates from here who have entered college. Karolyn WILLIAMS, Wanda Faye McCUBBINS, Lonnie DAWSON and Frankie RAGG are at Western State Teachers College of Bowling Green and Joe REXROAT at Murray, Ky. Pat JENKINS is at Regis College, Denver, Colorado and Johnny SAMUELS at Universtity of Ky., Lexington. Mr. and Mrs. Len SMITH and Mr. and Mrs. W. A.
