Who don't people visit more? We shall be anxious until Mr. EISENHOWER'S next trip is over. I wish he would stay home. Rev. W. D. POWELL made us a little visit June 7th. He has been to see his family in Montogomery, Alabama accompanied by his daughter, little Ann Marie. Rev. POWELL will teach a class at U of L this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Carl FISCHER attended Eastern Commencement Exercises where their daughter graduated with honors. Vacation Bible School at Little Flock this week. We pray much good will be accomplished. Mrs. Myra Gray SHRIVER of Columbus, Ohio is with her sister, Mrs. Billy CRUMBACKER, here and they paid us a delightful visit Saturday--Myra is her old gracious self and the mother of two fine sons now grown. She tells us of a tree, an elm near her city which was there when America was discovered--Great care is taken of it. We love trees. Mrs. SHRIVER is of the Buckeye State and says the bushes and trees are now in bloom. Mrs. Mary Tyler Bell HAMILTON and family had six o'clock dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Billy CRUMBACKER Saturday. Miss Mary HOLSCLAW spent Saturday in city shopping. Mr. and Mrs. Roman EMBERGER and Miss Lois BARGER were our Sunday Guests. Mr. J. B. SHELBURNE went with a group from U of K on a field trip to Canada. Betty REE was honored as a 4-H winner in clothing project in 4-H Week at Lexington. PIONEER NEWS-JUNE 24, 1960-BARDSTOWN JCT. NEWS Mr. and Mrs. John E. COX of Oklahoma spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. John OWEN. They spent their time on a motor trip to Cumberland Falls, Burnside, Ky, and Indiana. Mr.and Mrs. John OWENS Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Earl MACOUBRIER and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest OLLIE< of St. Petersburg, Florida were entertained in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John OWENS Sr., May 30th. Mr. and Mrs. Earl MACOUBRIER are building a new home in Bardstown Junction. Mrs. . J. TRUNNELL spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. Walter CROWE. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. BERRY spent a day recently with Mr. and Mrs. Holly HAWKINS at Taylorsville. Miss Jean MOONEY spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. L. MOONEY. Mrs. Dave THOMPSON, Jolene and Mrs. Mamie DOLLAR spent Saturday in the city. Mrs. Nellie WELLS of Franklin, Ky.;, spent several days with her nieces, Mrs. Jack APPLEGATE and Mrs. Nellie KNEISLER at Brooks and other relatives. ============================================================= PIONEER NEWS- JUNE 24, 1960-FAIRDALE NEWS Mr. and Mrs. James HOLLAND, Mr. Wayne HOLLAND and friend, all of Fairdale, Mrs. Blanche HAWKINS and Everett of Okolona, Mr. and Mrs. Earl HOLLAND and grand-daughter, Deborah of Louisville, Mrs. Dallard TAYLOR of Louisville were guests of Mr. Cecil STOVALL and two children and went to see Mrs. Maude STOVALL of Phillips Lane. They are sick. Mrs. Earl HOLLAND and grand-daughter Deborah FORD of Louisville has been called to Long Beach, Calif. to Mr. and Mrs. Freddie FORD on the account of her daughter, Mrs. Freddie FORD will undergo and operation. PIONEER NEWS-JUNE 24, 1960-MT. EDEN & WILSON CREEK NEWS The pastor and officers of Sunday School attended the ???? Associational Sunday School Meeting at Vine Hill Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence DAWSON and family had lunch with Miss Jackie DOBBINS of Shively the past Wednesday. The Cradle Roll is very upset these days, they are trying to see who can cut the most teeth. Our sympathy goes to Mr. Howard HARDIN whose uncle passed away Saturday. Mr. Abb HARDIN of Tucson, Arizona. Miss Carolyn POPPELL and Geo. THORNTON Jr., brought an inspiring message in song at our Sunday night service. There was a Homecoming at Oak Ridge, Ky.;, Sunday, the following families attended the all day service. Mr. and Mrs. James DOCKERY and family, Mr. and Mrs. Homer COY and family, Mr. and Mrs. James BURDEN and family, Mr. and Mrs. Nell COCKERELL and family. Mrs. Esther WILLIAMS is visiting her daughter this week, Mrs. LaVerne FETTER of Alexandria, Va. Misses Roxie and Mary Ruth MEADLY enjoyed the home-made ice cream at Miss Eunice RIDGWAY Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Lacy RICHMOND and family are spending the week with her grandmother, Mrs. Laura BELL. ============================================================= WILSON CREEK NEWS The Bullitt County Census is incomplete, several homes were never visited by census taker, it is not known how many people are in Bullitt. Mr. Gus COOMES remains ill at his home. Regret to hear of the illness of Barney McMILLEN at Lebanon Jct. . Sure hope he soon gets better. Shirley MILLIGAN received a cut toe by power mower recently, requiring 4 stitches. Mr. and Mrs. Waverly WATERS, Jr., and daughters were guests of Mr. J. F. RICKETTS Sunday. A very successful vacation bible school just closed at Mt. Carmel. Mr. and Mrs. Ed BARNES of Louisville were guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. MILLIGAN and Lois Saturday. PIONEER NEWS-JUNE 24, 1960-LEBANON JUNCTION NEWS HOMECOMING SUCCESSFUL Four very successful days of the Lebanon Junction Homecoming was sponsored by the Lions Club. BIBLE SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT Bible School Commencement was held Sunday night at the Dennie Memorial Methodist Church. A large crowd attended. BERNARD F. BOOTH DIES Mr. Bernard F. BOOTH, age 59, passed away June 10, at St Joseph Infirmary. Residence Colesburg, formerly of Lebanon Junction. He is survived by two brothers, Mr. Lee BOOTH and Mr. Lawrence BOOTH, Colesburg; one sister, Mrs. S. N. (Hallie) FRENCH, Louisville. The body rested at Ratterman Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services were held June 13 at St. Clara'sChurch, Colesburg. Interment was in Church Cemetery. Our sympathy is extended to the friends and relatives. INFANT DIES Kimberly Ann, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin RICHARDSON of Bardstown Junction, passed away June 11 at Kentucky Baptist Hospital. Mr. RICHARDSON is a former resident of Lebanon Junction. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Mason WELKER, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. William RICHARDSON. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 12. Interment was in Lebanon Junction Cemetery. Our sympathy is extended to the friends and relatives. RETURNS HOME FROM VACATION Mrs. Russell LUTES, Mrs. Keith JEREMIAH and daughters, Sharon and Darlene have returned home after vacationing in Jacksonville and Miami, Florida. PARTY FOR GUEST Miss Judy PAYNE of Louisville was week-end guest of Miss Karolyn WILLIAMS. Saturday night a party was given for Miss PAYNE. About 15 guests were present. LEBANON JUNCTION HOMEMAKERS The Lebanon Junction Homemakers met June 2 in the basement of Baptist Church with eight members present. This was our May meeting. Our lessons have been on pictures and frames. How to frame pictures, refinish old and new frames, also how to hang them. Our club is taking part in reading from bookmobile. We have had a book report for our club this year. The report was on the Book of Exodus. We have had a nice attendance this year and it has been enjoyed by all. Mrs. WARREN met with us and we sure did enjoy having her. Mrs. Edna FORD of Michigan recently visited Mrs. Lillian MYERS. Susan and Annette STEELE of Louisville are visiting Pam and Susan FIELDER. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert FRAZIER were Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs. Willa NALL Mrs. Mamie CRUTCHER, of Munfordville and Mr. James JAGGERS of Glasgow were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack WILLIAMS. Mrs. Wallace JOHNSTON spent Sunday with her husband, John JOHNSTON who is serving his basic training at Ft. Knox. Mr. Ben CHARLTON, elect judge pro-tem is replacing Mr. Fred WHITEHEAD, while Mr. and Mrs. WHITEHEAD are vacationing in Florida. Rev. and Mrs. B.
