The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net Transcribed by: Linda BlueKy2000@juno.com Date: 13 Sept 2000 *********************************************************************** Pioneer News 3-28-1930 Friday Hill Top Mr.Mrs. Walter Bishop and Several of the children Mr.William Dillander and Family Visted a few Days at Camp Taylor Last Week and Attended the Funeral of Mr.Norvin Bishop last Tuesday in Jefferson Co Charles Irvin Harris aged seven months and eight days , son of Mr.and Mrs. Charles Harris died Wensday September 12,1917,at his Grandmother's after a few days of illness,and was laid to rest September 13,1917 at Bullitt Lick Cemetery Joesph Sipes,son of Mr.and Mrs.Fred Sipes was accidentally shot and instantly killed near his home at Huber Station on July 15 1921 He was fourteen years ,ten days of age.was born in Jefferson Co but had spent most his life in Bullitt County.He is surived by father,mother,three brothers one sister and many relatives. Joe as he was known to all his friends,was a boy who always had a cheery smile and kind words for everyone,and was loved by all who knew him .he was a goog boy and will be sadly missed in the home which he helped to brighten with his happy affect-ways and readiness to help in all times, His remains were laid to rest in Hebron Cemetery, We have lost our darling son, He has bidd ______, He has gone to heaven And his form is lost from view O the dearone how we loved him, O how hard to see him die, But the angles came to claim him, For a better home high Dewey Smith and Family spent Tuesday night with Leo Bishop and family. Mrs.Grace Hardin and daughter Visted Mrs.Ernest Ramsy Monday afternoon Howard Holsclaw has had a light attack of flu and Mrs.Holsclaw is suffering with Boils. R.C Hardesty Spent Wensday in Shepherdsville. Col.Dave Thompson spent Thursday in Shepherdsville. Mr.and Mrs. Virgil Oakes were Week-end guest at Mr.and Mrs.William Dillander. A Birthday Dinner was given Wensday in honor of Mr.Tom Elzy and Mr.Dewey Smith at Mrs.Elzy's home.Mr.and Mrs.Leo Bishop and children and Mrs Dewey Smith and children were among the guest. Mrs. Alma Ogle and Miss Ruth Ogle spent Wensday afternoon with Mr. William Whitman who is on the sick list. Mrs. Thelma Smith has returned home after a Vist in Highland Park. Mr. Ewing Stout and Miss Aldena Barrell spent Sunday with J.M Barrell and Family.
