Mrs. Emma Ridgeway Armstrong, departed this life at the age of 85 years at 6 a.m. Monday, 
March 8, 1971 at the Hillcreek Manor Nursing Home, Residence, Star Route, Shepherdsville, 
Kentucky.  Devoted mother of Mrs. H. L. (Ima) Owen, Mrs. J. W. (Mildred) McClure, Mrs. L. M. 
(Katheryn) Branham, Mrs J. R. (Austine) Jasper, Mrs. C. T. (Ersa) Murphy, Myron K., Hubert 
L., Samuel O. Jr., Dean and Carl Armstrong; sister of Mrs. Eunice Orms; also survived by
35 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 pm. Wednesday March 10th at the McAfee-McFarland Funeral Home, Mt. 
Washington by Rev. Wendell Romans of First Baptist Church. Interment in Mt. Washington 
Cemetery.

The newspaper spelled her maiden name as Ridgeway.
