Washington. This whole community was surprised and shocked to hear of the sudden death of Hon. Vardaman CRENSHAW, one of the best known and oldest citizens of Bullitt County. He died from a strok of Paralysis Wednesday while visiting a relative, Lon CRENSHAW, near Mt. Washington, and was buried at New Salem Church, in Nelson County, yesterday. He was (3 years old and had been in good health up to the time of his sudden taking off. He leaves one son James CRENSHAW, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. His estate is believed to be quite a large one. The nearness of time for going to press and the crowded condition of our columns prevent a more extended notice of this well known old gentleman and remarkable character. Vard died 5/11/1909
