He was a retired employee of International Harvestor Co., a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Eastside Baptist Church and the Bullitt County Masonic Lodge 155. He is survived by his wife, the former Blenda Kathern Vincent; four daughters, Blenda Weber, Donna Haven, Diana Mullaney and Melanie McCarthy; four sons, Samuel, James Bradley, Jay Robert and William Edwin Etherton; his mother, Ellen Etherton; two sisters, Bettye Whithite and Shirley Edwards; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, at Howell & Jessie Funeral Home in Hillview with the Rev. Ray Armstrong officiating. Burial was in Brookland Cemetery in Pioneer Village. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Louisville.
