He was a retired agent/operator for the old Louisville & Nashville Railroad Co. Survivors: his wife, the former Mary Dent Harris; a son, Thomas Earl Funk of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a daughter, Mary Kaye Funk; a brother, Orville Funk of Bradenton, Fla.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday, St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2040 Buechel Bank Road. Burial: St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Mount Washington. Visitation: McAfee-Resthaven Funeral Home, 4501 Bardstown Road, 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial gifts: the church or Hospice of Louisville.
