Deputy Coroner Mike Adams said the death was a suicide. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., an industrial hygienist for the Army and an Army veteran. Survivors: his mother, Ruby W. Gentry; a sister, Rose Mary Fleener; and two brothers, David H. Gentry of Ellenwood, Ga., and Raymond A. Gentry. Funeral: will be private. Burial: Hebron Cemetery, Bullitt County. Visitation: Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway, 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday. William Dale Gentry, 67, of Irvington, formerly of Bullitt County, died Thursday in Hardinsburg. He was a native of Bullitt County and a retired tool and die maker for Logan Co. Survivors: his wife, the former Joyce Colleen Carter; a son, William B. Gentry of Mount Washington; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Hardy-Close Funeral Home, Shepherdsville. Burial: Hebron Cemetery, Shepherdsville. Visitation: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Ethel M. Jenkins, 84, Zoneton, died Tuesday at Baptist Hospital East. She was the former Ethel Gentry, a native of Bullitt County and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. Survivors: a son, Ralph Jenkins Sr.; a sister, Mary Belle Farmer of Zoneton; a brother, Russell Gentry of Mount Washington; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday, Maraman-Billings Funeral Home, Shepherdsville. Burial: Highland Memory Gardens, Mount Washington. Visitation: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Rufus L. Gentry, 78, Mount Washington, died Friday at Baptist Hospital East. He was a native of Bullitt County, a retired press operator for General Electric Co.'s Appliance Park and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors: a son, Ronnie Gentry of Taylorsville; two daughters, Shirley Figg and Brenda Stallings, both of Mount Washington; two brothers, Cecil Gentry of Shepherdsville and Charles Gentry of Dauphin Island, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Gentry, 77, of Mount Washington, died Saturday at Baptist Hospital East. He was a native of Bullitt County, an Army veteran of World War II, a retired mechanic for Martin Marrietta Corp. and a member of American Legion Post 200 and Teamsters Union Local 89. Survivors: his wife, the former Dorothy Prather; three daughters, Beverly Gentry of Floyds Knobs, Ind., Linda G. Thorn of Valley City, N.D., and Janet Gentry; a son, Stephen Gentry of Mount Washington; two sisters, Valeda Owen and Doris Simmons, both of Mount Washington; five brothers, Billy Gentry of Conway, Ark., and Ercel, Haskell, Dale and Horace Gentry, all of Mount Washington; and six grandchildren.
