The Bullitt News Friday Oct.14,1910

      DEATH OF MRS. GREENWELL

Mrs. Elizabeth LEE GREENWELL died at her home at Pitts Point, Oct. 7, at 2:20 p.m., she was 
78 years and 9 months of age, and was married to Robert GREENWELL in May, 1847.

She was born and raised in this county, and died in five miles of the place where she was 
reared and had never lived out of the county. She leaves to mourn her loss, five children. 
Three boys and two girls: Jess, Jimmie and Hilary GREENWELL: Mrs. Wm. HARDY and Mrs. S.M.  
MILLER. She also leaves nine grand-children and four great grand-children and a host of 
friends to mourn her untimely lost. She had been a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian 
Church since 1871.

Funeral services were held at the Church Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. S.P. MARTIN, after 
which the remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground.
