Washington, Bullitt county. Mrs. Hughes was the daughter of Robert and Ruth Durr and was born October 3, 1874. On December 26, 1899, she was married to Mr. G.. C. Hughes, of Salvisa. Three children blessed this union, two of whom are left to miss their devoted mother, Mrs. Paul Roby, of Mt. Washington, and Mr. Nathan Hughes, of Cin­cinnati. When quite a young girl she united with the Baptist church and was always true to her vows. Her funeral was held Tuesday at 11 o'clock at Hebron church in Anderson county, conducted by Rev.. W. D. Moore, with interment in the Hebron cemetery. Mrs. Hughes, besides her children, is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ruth Durr, a sister, Mrs. Dave Young, of Spring­field, and a brother, Mr. George Durr, of Harrodsburg. (Fri Feb 24, 1987)
