Mrs. Kate ROBY HALL, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William ROBY, of Victory, died at the home of her daughter (whom she was visiting) Mrs. Hoke HARRIS, Sunday March 28th at 4PM after a very brief illness of a complication of diseases. She was born January 30, 1865, united with the Baptist Church in early life and was a lovely Christian Character, was Married to Douglas HALL in October 1886. Mr. HALL died in April, 1911, leaving her with seven children, the youngest less than a year, but she was a wonderful mother, and reared all of them to be useful citizens. Few people have as many friends as did "Aunt Kate" as she was so lovingly called by all the younger set who always enjoyed many happy days in her home on Floyd's Fork near Shepherdsville. After the children all married off, Strause and wife lived in the old home with her. four years ago, her daughter - in - law, Mrs. Lyman HALL died and left eight children: she went immediately to that home and mothered those little ones, even then her health was somewhat impairedbut her strength seemed sufficient for all her many duties. Funeral from the home of her daughter, Mrs Hoke HARRIS, Tuesday morning, March 30, at 10 a. m. and from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 11 a. m. by her pastor, Rev. T. E. MASON, with interment at the cemetery there. She is survived by seven children, Hugh HALL, Strause HALL, Mrs. Alvin OWEN, Robert HALL, Lyman HALL, Mrs Howard HARDIN, Mrs Randolph PORTER, and Mrs. Hoke HARRIS; twenty seven grandchildren, one brother, Mr. J. A. ROBY, of Victory, a number of nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends."
