G. Harned, Sr., died following a heart attack at his home in Boston, Ky., on Monday, November 13. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Callie Cook Harned; two sons, T. G. Harned, Jr., an instructor in the Army Air Force Technical Training Command, Keesler Field, Biloxi, Miss.; Pt. James C. Harned, Dutch East Indies; a grandson, Norman Elliott Harned, one brother and three sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Boston Christian church, with interment in the church cemetery. (HH Fri Nov 17, 1944) Harrodsburg Herald
