Welsh Hurley Thurston MCGILL, 76, of Bardstown and formerly of Fern Creek, died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Louisville. He was a retired foundry worker for International Harvester, a farmer, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 121 and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Alvin and Iva ALDRIDGE MCGILL. He is survived by two daughters, Glenda TRUAX of Westport, Ky., and Barbara DEWITT of New Haven, Ky., one brother, Darrell MCGILL of Fern Creek; one sister, Sylvia CRENSHAW of Mount Washington; five grand-children; and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3 at McFarland-Troutman Funeral Home in Mount Washington with Bro. Will CRADDOCK officiating. Burial was in Mount Washington Cemetery.
