Welsh Lillian L. RIGGS, 79, of Highwiew, formerly of Bullitt County, died on Monday, May 24, 1999. She was the former Lillian EDWARDS, a retired employee of the Jefferson County Public Schools and a member of Harvest Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth COLVIN EDWARDS; one son, Danny RIGGS; one daughter, Doris Jean SMITH; and brothers Charles, Marvin and Ernest EDWARDS. She is survived by her husband, Arley D. RIGGS; two daughters, Debbie ENNIS and Norma SNOW; two sons, Ray and Todd RIGGS; three sisters, Mary Lee EDWARDS, Maeola McGAHA and Rozetta DEZERN; two brothers, Thomas and Carl EDWARDS; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 27, at Schoppenhorst, Neurath & Brooks Funeral Home in Pioneer Village with the Rev. Ardon WHEAT officiating. Burial was in Brookland Cemetery in Pioneer Village. Pallbearers were Scotty McGAHA, Loyd McGAHA, Ricky EDWARDS, Rusty EDWARDS, Rudy DEZERN and Daryl EDWARDS. ============================================ Betty Pearl VINCENT, 64 of Mount Washington, died on Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville. She was the former Betty P. CLARK, a native of Louisville and a retired production worked (sic) for the D.W. Wallcovering Co. She was a member of the First Assembly of God. She is survived by three daughters, Ronda GILBERT, Paula HUTSELL and Stacey WILDRIDGE; two sons, Ronald E. VINCENT Jr. and Gregg S. VINCENT; her mother, Lydia P. CLARK; three sisters, Geraldine PICKERILL, Leva O'BANION and Alba HEDGESPETH; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grand-children. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 28, at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. ================================================ Harriett Elizabeth BAILEY, 83, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was a former resident of St. Petersburg, Fla., a member of the Methodist Church, a native of Chicago, Ill., former employee of the Old Kresgee Department Stores and a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters Donna MINNIS of Cox's Creek, Judith Jacklyn HAYES of Providence, R.I., two sons, Dennis GILBERT of Bardstown, David Allen HAYES of El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body was cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
