Clyde Herman Owens age 69 Yrs. Passed away suddenly last Tuesday morning 10-11-1949. 
While working in his cornfield. he was the son of the late George and Viola Bennett 
Owens. he had spent his entire life in and near this community and was one of the most 
respected citizens, his funeral was conducted in Mt. Washington Baptist Church. 
Rev Noah Benningfield assisted by Rev. Wm.Laws of Buechel and Rev.M.B. May of Mt. 
Washington, he was laid to rest in Mt. Washington Cemetery with burial services by his 
Brothers Masons of Salt River Lodge No. 180. F. And A. M he is survived by his wife 
Mrs. Effie Dickey Owens of Buechel and Selbert(Sebbie)Owens 2 sons G. C.  of 
Buechel Mt. Washington, a granddaughter Mary Ann owens . 2 sisters, Mrs. Wayne Harris 
and Mrs. Chester Gentry and several nieces and nephews.
