Mr. Preston Parrish Dies

A gloom of sorrow and sadness shrouded our town last Friday evening the 12th when our 
neighbor, friend and relative Mr. Preston Parrish passed away, his death was not 
unexpected as he had suffered about three months  or longer, effects from a severe 
spell of pneumonia he had experienced during Xmas week and never entirely recovered.  
This town has lost a good citizen, who was a friend to every one he had a smile and a 
kind word for all, we will miss his cheerfulness, especially his family whom he was so 
devoted to willmiss him more.  In his declining years he seemed to grow more settled 
and his thoughts and interest turned toward the work of the Lord as he grew more 
faithful in attendance of the church services.

To his devoted daughter wife and five children who stood by him so faithful during his 
illness and in his last hours of great suffering we extend our deepest heartfelt 
sympathy.
