Washington (Bullitt County) March 31, Miss Cora Lee ROUSE died Thursday, March 25 after a brief illness at the home of her sister Mrs. W. D. ELLABY. The day before her death friends gave her a shower of birthday cards, but she was too weak to appreciate them as she would normally. She was given excellent care during her illness and everything done for her comfort and relief, but from the first her family had little hope of recovery. Since the death of her mother several years ago she made her home with Mr. ELLABY. She was very devoted to her mother and was long in adjusting herself to her death. Her girlhood was spent at Solitude (Nelson/Bullitt Line) and she leaves many relatives and friends. In that community. She was a member of the Baptist Church giving her service at every call, eager to aid the work in labor and finances. Funeral Services were held at the Baptist Church Saturday at 2pm by Rev. R. L. PUCKETT, assisted by a former pator, Rev. W. L. MOODY, Bardstown (Nelson County)The large crowd and beautiful floral designs were a tribute of appreciation and respect for her friendship in life.She is survived by two other sisters, Mrs. Josie MORRIS of Chicago, Mrs. C. O. TYLER two borthers Will ROUSE, of Louisville, and J. V. ROUSE of Bardstown and numerous other relatives and many friends in this and adjoining counties.
