SHAW Mrs. Julia HIBBS SHAW of near Lotus departed this life Wednesday Feb. 22, 1933 at 11:50 P.M. at the Baptist Hospital, after undergoing an operation Sunday for appendicitis, pneumonia developed later causing her death. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Mr. W. J. SHAW, three sons, Horace of Bardstown Jct., James of Louisville, Gilbert Lee of Lotus, two daughters, Mrs. Julia DAVIDSON of Camp Taylor and Mrs. Ida Mae HISER of Center, Ky. She also leaves one brother, Mr. James HIBBS of Louisville, four grandchildren, four nieces, two nephews and many friends. After the splendid funeral service at New Salem Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Henry DEACON of Shepherdsville; the remains were laid to rest in the New Salem Cemetery. She became a member of Cedar Grove Methodist Church in her girlhood days and has continued to live a christian life. All who knew her loved Her. A Friend. The Pioneer News March 3,1933
