Basil D. Scott Sr., 100, Shepherdsville, died Tuesday at St. Anthony Medical Center.
He was a native of Bullitt County, a retired carpenter and a member of Salt River Masonic 
Lodge 180 in Mount Washington. Survivors: a son, Basil D. Scott Jr. of Shepherdsville; a 
daughter, Beatrice  Freibert of Shepherdsville; a brother, Earl Scott of Mount Washington; a 
sister, Adelia Owen of Mount Washington; six grandchildren; 12  great-grandchildren; and 
five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Bethel United Methodist Church 
near Mount  Washington, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens there. Visitation at Hardy- 
Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville after 11 a.m.  Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. 
Thursday.

death, fractured skull from accident.

SCOTT, James E. 1889-1941 Note: d. 2 Sept, son of "Wee Welton" and Hattie MILLER  SCOTT. Gt 
granson of Pleasent Scott who settled near Floyd's Fork (creek, large at that time) just over 
the Jeff. Co. line in Bullitt Co.  James E. lived on Seatonville Rd.. He m. Della Haag dau of 
Wm.  and Eliz. GRANT HAAG. Father of Catherine, Elizabeth, Jeanette,  and W.   d. Scott. Bro of 
Mrs. Maud GLASSER; Mrs. Cora GENTRY; and Mrs. Doll STRAUB; Mrs Cassie KNIGHT; Claud SCOTT and 
Harry C. SCOTT who m. Rose WILKINS. James E. was the grandson of Kate MILLER b. c1847
whose parents were born in France.
