     Alberta Sweat, 77, died on Monday, March 15, 1999, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  
She was a native of Bullitt County and a housewife.  She was a member of the First Baptist 
Church of Lebanon Junction, where she was a custodian for over 19 years.
     She is survived by her husband James Victor "Buster" Sweat of Lebanon Junction, three 
daughters, Barbara Sue Hoagland and Rose Mary Snellen, both of Lebanon Junction, and Lawanna 
Garrett of East View, KY.; two sons, James Ronald " Butch" Sweat, and Jerry L. Sweat, both 
of Lebanon Junction; two sisters, Mary Jewell Chappell and Inez Doan, both of Lebanon 
Junction; one brother, Andrew Mann of Columbus, Ind.; three half-sisters, Patty Williams of 
Louisville, Velma Winchester and Nellie Hoeltke, both of Columbus; one half-brother, both of 
Columbus; one half-brother, Jack Mann of Arnold, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 
great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., on Thursday, March 18, at the First Baptist 
Church of Lebanon Junction with the Rev. Kimbrough Simmons officiating.
     Burial will be in Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. 
until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and after noon on Thursday at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon 
Junction.
