Mt. Washington, Ky.  Beloved wife S.F. (Sammie) Smith. Devoted mother of Mrs. James L. 
(Wanda Lee) Hickman.  Grandmother of Rebecca, Lynton, Larry and Barry Hickman all of Cox's 
Creek, Ky.  Sister of Mrs. H.P. (Lizzie) Wigginton, Miss Georgia Porter all of Mt. 
Washington. Service was from the McAfee Funeral Home Mt. Washington, Monday, October 14
at 1:45 p.m. and at Mt. Washington Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Mt. 
Washington Cemetery.

SMITH, Samuel F.
Age, 88 at Hillcreek Nursing Home at 12:30 a.m. Fri., March 20, 1981. Residence, Old Mill 
Rd., Mt. Washington, KY.  Beloved husband of Mrs. Georgia Porter Smith; devoted father of 
Mrs. Wanda Lee Hickman of Cox's Creek, KY; also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great 
grandchildren. Funeral services, 2 p.m., Sun. from the McFarland-Troutman Funeral Home.
Interment, Mt. Washington Cemetery. Expressions of sympathey to the Mt. Washington United 
Methodist Church.

Pioneer News, May, 1989

Ora Dell Hall SMITH, 88, of Shepherdsville, died Monday, May 22, 1989.  Native of Bullitt County, 
and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survived by 3 daughters : Elizabeth (Marie) Smith, of 
Sebring FLA, Carolyn HOAGLAND and Bernice GREENWELL of Shepherdsville, and one son, Russell SMITH 
of Shepherdsville. 4 grand and 3 great-grandchildren. Burial Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. 
Washington.

Russell SMITH 69, of Shepherdsville, died Monday September 14, 1988 at Audubon Hospital. He was a 
retired Equipment Operator for the State Highway Garage, and an Army Veteran of the Korean War. 
Survivors, one son, Tommy SMITH, of Shepherdsville, and three sisters,  Bernice GREENWELL, Sally 
(Carolyn) SMITH of Shepherdsvile, and Marie SMITH,  of Florida. Body cremated.
