She was the former Bessie Mae Carr and a native of Bullitt County. Survivors: three daughters, Mary Logsdon of Boston, Ky., Betty Jean Burba of Brooks and Shirley Waters of Cecilia; four sons, Pat McCubbins of Boston, Tommy and Kenneth McCubbins, both of Lebanon Junction, and Bill McCubbins; two sisters, Nora Perkins of Shepherdsville and Edna Harris of Lebanon Junction; 35 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Church of God of Prophecy, Lebanon Junction. Burial: Mount Carmel Church Cemetery, Lebanon Junction. Visitation: Kappel Funeral Home, Lebanon Junction, 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. June 04, 1992 The Courier-Journal Louisville, KY George Everett Smith, 83, died Tuesday at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was a native of Belmont, a retired driver for Hussman & Roper Freight Lines and a Baptist. Survivors: four daughters, Rowena Wood of Shepherdsville, Flossie Booher of Pekin, Ind., Susie Morgan and Ellen Foster, both of New Haven; four sons, Clarence H., Ray, Ronnie and Stephen Smith; 42 grandchildren; and 61 great- grand-grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Maraman-Billings Funeral Home, Shepherdsville. Burial: Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
