Rita Jones Sherman, 76, formerly of Mount Washington, died Tuesday, Jan 11, 1994, in 
Indianapolis.  She was a native of Nelson County, a retired employee of The Peoples Bank of 
Mount Washington and a member of Mount Washington First Baptist Church.  She is survived by 
a daughter, Lana Scotten of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 14, 1994, at McFarland-Troutman Funeral Home in 
Mount Washington with burial in New Salem Cemetery in Nelson County.  Expressions of 
sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Mount Washington First Baptist Church.

(Rita Jones Sherman was the daughter of Wylmer Jones and Gaynelle Harris Jones.  Gaynelle 
Harris Jones was the daughter of Elizabeth Callie Christine Parrish Harris and James Arthur 
Harris.)
