Local Citizen Dies Shortly After 55th Wedding Anniversary William Wigginton 79 years old, esteemed citizen of Jeffersontown, died at his home Friday morning at 7 o'clock after an illness of three weeks, following a paralytic stroke. The Tuesday before Mr. Wigginton's death was the 55th anniversary of his wedding day, which date he frequently mentioned during his illness and for which he seemed to husband all his strength to remain. After Tuesday a marked and rapid decline was noted till his death. Surviving, besides the widow, Mrs. Mary Bryant Wigginton, are four daughters, Mrs. Maude Hefley of Midville, Mrs. Alma Robison of Lyndon, and Miss Aline Wigginton of Jeffersontown; three sons, William Wigginton of Elk Creek, Thomas Wigginton of Lousiville and George Wigginton of Buechel. There are also seven grandchildren and three greatchildren. The funeral was from Jeffersontown Baptist Church of which Mr. Wigginton was a member, on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, the pastor, Rev. L.T. Wright officiating, assisted by Rev. W.O. Beatty of Weaver Memorial church, a friend of the family, and Rev. Dobbins of Buechel Baptist church. Burial was near the old home of the deceassed in Elk creek Cemtery, Spencer County.
