On the 20th of December (1905) Miss Lora Crenshaw and Thomas Porter went to the city and 
were married by the Rev. Adkinson.  Miss Lizzie Porter, sister of the groom, and Bluford 
Crenshaw, brother of the bride, accompanied them. The next day they came to her home, where 
a good supper awaited them, and on the next day went to his home, where a good dinner had 
been prepared. Only the immediate families were present.  The bride is the eldest daughter 
of Mr. and Mrs. William Crenshaw, a very pretty, sweet girl and has many fine traits of 
character.  The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Porter, a farmer and young man 
that has carried himself so well that the only comment is, he is a fine man.  The bride 
received a number of useful presents.  May they have all the happiness that 'tis possible to 
have here below.
