Mr. and Mrs. V. T. SWEENEY celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage Monday.  
Dinner was served on the lawn, and many beautiful presents were received.  Those present 
were Mr. and Mrs. J. S. THOMAS and Alford WHITEMAN, of Springfield; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin 
LYNCH, Lebanon; Mr. and Mrs. J. M. CLARK, Mt. Washington; Mr. and Mrs. W. C. SWEENEY,
Jeffersontown; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. SWEENEY, Mrs. B. S. CHRISTIE, Miss Lizzie SWEENEY, of 
Anchorage; Mr. and Mrs. G. A. McDAVITT, Taylorsville; D. A. SWEENEY, Danville; Marion 
SWEENEY, Mackville; and twenty-two grandchildren:  Misses Mary THOMAS, Floey THOMAS,
