(signed) Richard (X) ALLISON In the presence of Elemelck SWEARINGEN Zadoch HARRIS Recorded 5 Sep 1808 Bullitt Co. KY Court Richard ALLISON was the son of Thomas ALLISON and Barbara BURCH. His mother, Barbara, was the daughter of Oliver BURCH who left his will in May 1729 in Charles Co. MD naming wife Barbara, sons Benjamin, Edward, Jonathan, Justinian and daughters Barbara ALLISON, Katherine SWAN, Anne SWAN, Elinor BURCH and Elizabeth CADE. Witnessed by George BRETT and James & Anne PHILLIPS Richard ALLISON's wife was Sarah Elinor CHESHIRE . This couple lived in the part of Prince Georges Co. MD that cut away to Montgomery Co. Richard never appears on a KY census so I think they must have come some time after the 1800 and he dies before the 1810. David and Enoch show as heads of household on the 1810 in Bullitt Co. and the John DAY on the 1810 Bullitt Census may be the son-in-law named above. The son-in-law Edward ARCHER and wife Elizabeth moved to Monroe Co. IN. Zadoc HARRIS who witnesses the will is possibly from a HARRIS family in Montgomery Co. MD but the HARRIS researchers might be able to confirm or deny that. (there is a HARRIS family there who names boys Zadoc) Good old Elemelck SWEARINGEN also had ties to that Prince Georges/Montgomery Co. MD area as well and is also seen with David ALLISON in this document: 19 Jun 1819 Bullitt Co. Deed Book D p. 168 Daniel ALLISON to Elimeleck SWEARENGEN Senr.
