The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net Transcribed by: Jan West awest1@tampabay.rr.com Date: 12 Jan 2000 *********************************************************************** Will Book E Page 214 Will of Joseph Bowman In the name of God Amen, I, Joseph Bowman being weak in body, but of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following: It is my wish and will that my servant woman Lucinda be set free, also her son Will for the purpose of supporting his mother. 2nd It is my wish that my Executors apportion to my step mother Permelia Bowman from Five Hundred to a Thousand dollars of my real estate for her and her children forever. 3rd It is my wish that my boy Base be Joseph Tilford's and after the payment of my just debts the balance of my Estate real, personal & mixed to be equally divided between my Brother's and Sister, namely, Jefferson Bowman, Mary Bowman, Jacob W. Bowman, and George W. Bowman. 4th It is my wish that my Executor pay S.A. McKay One Hundred dollars for his faithfulness in my sickness. 5th I make and appoint Jacob W. Bowman, Executor of this my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 7th day of June 1843 S.A McKay Robert Brashear Jos.
