Will Book A p. 442 In the year of our Lord 1822 on the 20th day of March, I SAMUEL BRISCOE in my right mind and Viewing the uncertainty of life do make this my last will and testament as follows Viz. Item 1st I do bequeath & Bequest unto my wife NANCY BRISCOE all my real estate during her Widowhood or until one of my children marrys which Consists of Eleven negroes named as follows viz: NELSON, DUKE, GEORGE, THOMAS, four men CHARLES, ANTONY, PAUN / PARM , BILLY, four boys JANE, SALLY & PATTY, three women also all my personal and perishable estate after my just debts are Paid to have and to hold for her comfort use and benefit in raising and educating my three children towit: HARMON BRISCOE, RUTH E. BRISCOE and NICHOLAS BRISCOE. But should my wife Nancy marry again I do will and bequeath to her one third of my Estate. 2nd When my first child marrys I do will and bequeath that my whole be divided in the following manner Viz at that time should my wife continue my Widow I do bequeath unto her one third of my estate and the ballance to be equally divided between my three children. Item 3rd I do Will and bequeath all my notes Bonds and acts to my Wife NANCY to appropriate to the Benefit of my Just Creditors.
