Bullitt County Will Book B p. 1
In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three, June the sixth.  In the 
name of God,  Amen, I Hugh BERKLEY of Bullitt County and Commonwealth of Kentucky perfectly 
in my health and senses, do make, and ordain this my last will and testament.  

Item.  After all my just debts are paid, I make Catharine BERKLEY my sister heir to my 
estate during her natural life with a few exceptions.  

MARMADUKE BERKLEY I leave one negro boy named AARON.  
MELINDA BERKLEY I leave one negro boy named SAM.  
JEPTHA  BERKLEY I leave one negro boy named TOM.  
JONATHAN  D. BERKLEY I leave one negro boy named MARTIN .  
NANCY DUNCAN who was NANCY BERKLEY before married I leave one negro boy named BEN,   
ELIZABETH MAY who was ELIZABETH  BERKLEY before married, I leave the youngest child of 
DRUSILLA, not yet named.  Witnesseth whereof I set my hand and seal this day and year above 
written.
