The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net Transcribed by: Anne Livingston - Livings1@aol.com Date: 23 Feb 2000 *********************************************************************** Bullitt County Will Book A p. 249 In the name of god amen I John BROWN of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky being weak of body but of sound and disposing mind and memory blessed be god for the same and calling to mind that it is desired that all men should die do conceive it necessary to prevent disputations hereafter and as an act of Justice to my children, to dispose of what worldly goods the lord has given me do make and ordain this my last will and testament ---- all others by me heretofore made. Imprimis. I give my soul to the almighty knowing that he will receive It and bless and save it at the day of judgment. Item: It is my will and desire that after my death my executors hereafter named should cause my body to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner. Item: It is my will and desire that in case my land lying in Nelson County Kentucky should be adjoined(?) my executors should sell the same for the best price that can be had and the money be equally divided between all my children except my son Alexander and my son-in-law William ALBINS and if the Land should be Lost or taken away that the value of the improvements Would be equally divided between all my children. Item: It is my will and desire that all my personal estate which I may die seized and possessed of should be sold and the pro ceeds appropriated towards the discharge of all my just debts and funeral expenses and if any amount remains that the same shall be divided among all my children equally. Item: It is my wish that the expenses attesting the suit after my death about my lands should be equally paid by all my children equally. The devises which were herein named to my children I give to them and their heirs forever. Lastly I appoint Joseph IRWIN (?) and my son Samuel BROWN Executors of this my last will and testament.
