Will Book G p. 295 9 March 1864 This being the last will and testament of BALLARD S. CHAPPELL do hereby revoke and annul a former will made by me some years ago. Having no personal property to dispose of I wish to secure my three daughters, PERLINA, NANCY W. and MARY ANGELINE, and my two grand-daughters, SARAH C. and VIRGINIA CHAPPELL the farm on which I reside being 120 acres more or less while they live or live single. If my grandaughters should either of them marry to pay seventy five dollars in twelve months, To each my married daughters CYNTHIA BRUMFIELD I will fifty dollars to be paid in two years from my death. I wish the farm thus willed to come back to my five sons: M. F. CHAPPELL, G. D. CHAPPELL, JOHN CHAPPELL, J. W. CHAPPELL, T. C. CHAPPELL and the three single daughters above named to be divided equal or with their children if they should have any, as they have been at work and improving the farm at their own expence for a number of years since I gave up tending to business. In testimony whereof I set my hand and Seal according to the above date. (signed) BALLARD S. CHAPPELL in the presence of JAMES M. BEARD and LEMON/LEMAN H. QUICK Recorded 8 June 1866 Bullitt Co.
