I James CUNNINGHAM of Bullitt County KY being weak in body but sound in mind and memory, Thanks be to god for the same but calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and testament that is to say - principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of almighty god and my body I recommend to the Earth to burial in decent burial at the direction of my Executors and as touching such worldly estate as it has pleased god to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of in the following manner and form viz. first it is my will and desire that my personal property & real estate be appraised and remain unsold and undivided in the hands of my children to make what Improvements they can so long as they continue together. ----- would be untill my youngest daughter comes of age but Whenever all of the children marry. It is my wish that my Executors divide unto the ones then married or departed from the family his or her equal part as the case may be and set the residue of my children and property to remain together untill such time as the family get so settled that they can't remain any longer together or at a time as my youngest child comes of age then the property to be sold and equally divided amongst my children all To Wit Catharine, Sarah, Edmund, William, Francis, James & Polly and I ----- and appoint my well beloved friends Sam'l K. SPARKS (?) and William MARKWELL the sole executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby totally revoke, disannull and disallow all other former wills and testaments in any Means before Willed and bequeathed. Ratifying transferring this and no other to be my last Will and testament. In Witness Wherof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and seventeen.
