The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net Transcribed by: Livings1@aol.com Date: 9 Sept 2000 *********************************************************************** Bullitt County Will Book A p. 467 In the name of god amen, I DENNIS DUVALL of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky being at this time being Weak in Body and Sound of Mind but knowing that all men are born to die Sooner or later, I the said DENNIS DUVALL do hereby make and Constitute this my last will and testament towit My Soul I Committ to almighty god from whome I once received it my body I Commit to the Dust from whence it Came by a decent burial by my executors here in after named. After all my Just Debts are paid by my said Executors I will and dispose of all my Worldly Estate goods, Chattels and effects in Manner following towit. Item. I give to my wife PATTY DUVALL all that part of the tract of land I now live on that is to say that part that be in the County of Bullitt also three Negroes, one Woman named BESS , one named NANCE and one boy named MAT and all my house hold & kitchen furniture also one Sorrel Mare and roan Colt to be hers as long as she may remain my Widow and after her death my son BENJAMIN is to have all the property that is left With my Wife except the negro Woman named BESS and the Boy MAT. Item To my son LEWIS DUVALL I Will and bequeath one hundred acres of land lying part in Nelson and Part in Bullitt that I hold EPHR--- DRAGOO bond for, also about fifteen acres that adjoins the same on the South Side being what I marked off to my s’d Son Lewis Supposed to be fifteen acres also one Negro Boy named JACK. Item To my Son Dennis DUVALL and I bequeath all the balance of my land that Land in Nelson County except the fifteen acres that I left my son LEWIS also after my wife PATTY VALLS death, the Negro called BESS. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter PATSEY a negro woman JANE. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter MARGARET a negro boy named MAT and his bed and one gray mare. Item I give and bequeath to my daughter JANE the child that the aforesaid named Negro woman BESS is like for at this time and if any accident happens so that she does not get the said negro my son BENJAMIN DUVALL is to pay her one hundred and fifty dollars in good property. Item I give and bequeath to my son BENJAMIN a negro girl named NANCE, also one negro Boy named NED. Item I hereby appoint my trusty Son BENJAMIN DUVALL the whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and testament hereby Revoking all other Wills made by me in testimony where of I the S’d DENNIS DUVALL have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Nineteenth day of October 1821.
