GRANT WRITTEN 30 MAY 1835 PROVEN 16 MAY 1836 Know all men by their presents that I William C. Grant being in my right mind do will and bequeath my part of the land lying in Ohio County Kentucky to be equally divided between my brother Posey and sister Ann and sister Maria. It is also my desire that after all my expenses are paid it is my desire that my two sisters should be paid two dollars and a half per week for the time I was sick in their houses. I also will and bequeath to my mother Elizabeth M Borer one dollar, and also I will and bequeath to my sister Carolina Borer one Dollar. And it is my desire that the balance of my money should be equally divided between my brother Posey, sister Ann and sister Maria. It is also my desire that my sister Ann should have my Quilt which is now in my brother Posey's possession: and it is my desire that sister Ann should have my watch which my Grandfather left me. And, sister Mariah should have my other watch. As witness my hand And Seal this 30 Day of May 1835 Mary Eleanor Stephens William C. Grant (Seal) Elizabeth M. Grant deceased was on the 20 Jul 1835 produced in open Court by Peyton Burdett and proved by the oath of Elizabeth M. Borer a subscribing witness to the Same, And continued for further proof : And that on this 16th of May 1836, said Will in open court was fully proved by this oath of Mary Eleanor Stephens the other subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded, and thereupon the said Will together with this certificate is is truly entered of record in my office.
