White, Cynthia and Mariah her child and Silas and little Cynthia and my land and Stock that I may have at my death, also household and citchen furniture and Pheby he is to take good care of her clothe and see that she is well fed and a comfortable bed to Sleep in if William A. White dies without heirs of her [sic] body, said Negroes and their increase if any shall be equally divided between James A. Smith and Amos. S. White. William A. White is to pay all my debts if any doctors bills, burial expenses. Elizabeth Glass will. I give to James A. Smith Rosel and Mariah and their increase if they should bear any. I give to Amos S. White, Mary and Sarah and George Ellen, these gifts is to stop all claims either of them may have against my Estate. This is my last Will, written with my own hand, and in good mind. Elizabeth Glass Attest James A. Hill James, Rosel and Martha and Pheby, James, the chois mule, Amos, Mary, little Cynthia, and Sarah and George Ellen, Cynthia, Sylas and Mariah to William, the land and Stock, furniture, farming utensils to be sold to pay my debts if any, and burial expenses the balance to be equally divided between James and William and Amos, William's part of Negroes I leave in trust with Amos for William's benefit, these gifts is to Stop All the notes or Accounts either James or William or Amos may hold against my Estate. March the 31st 1861. Elizabeth Glass In the name of God, Amen. I Elizabeth Glass of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky, being now of sound mind, but of feeble body, do make this as a codicil to my previous will, which I entered as my last Will and testament, to James A. Smith I give Rosell Marshey and little Cynthia, to Amos S. White I give Mary, Sarah and Silas and Ellen and Old Phebe, who I wish him to take good care of while she may live, to Wm. White I give Big Cynthia and Mariah her child and my land and all of the Stock and farming utensils, household and kitchen furniture. I wish my bequest to Amos White and Jas. M. Smith to include my indebtedness to them and that they shall have no further claims against my estate, I wish what debts I owe to be paid out of the moneys due me for Negro hire and if not sufficient out of the Stock on the place, Wm. to have the remainder. I wish what I have left to Wm. White to be controlled by Amos S. White and James A. Smith in trust for him, if there should be a remainder from Negro hire and Stock to pay my debts, I wish Wm. Samuels clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid, do certify, that on the 15th day of April 1861, the foregoing Will with the Codicils annexed of Elizabeth Glass deceased was produced in open Court, for record, and proven by the Oath of H. F. Kalfus, and on the 23rd by Geo. W. Bowman, and on the 17th day of Jun 1861, was further proven by the Oath of James A. Hill subscribing witnesses thereto to be the last Will & testament with the Codicil annexed of Elizabeth Glass deceased.
