Will Book 1 p. 200 In the name of God, amen. I David HALL of the County of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky being in a debilitated state of health but in my right senses have a desire and do disspossess of all my property which I am possessed of in the following manner ToWit: Imprimis: I do give to my beloved wife Rachel one grey mare and saddle and the bed on which I am now lying also the house and orchard and the small piece of ground that I have heretofore cultivated about the house and to be left with her to tables (?) what of the household furniture that she may deem new if any for her own use. Wherewith the field which I call my field during her life and at her death to fall into the estate to be equally divided among my four after named daughters, the land excepted. 2nd: I give and bequeath unto my two sons William and Asa HALL all the land which I hold as mine to be divided in the following manner: Begin at Mr. STRINGER’s line and run a straight line to the dividing line which now separates the fields of my son William and the field of my son Asa then with said fence (?) in a direct lin to my spring run then down said run to McCULLOCK’s Run, My said son William to have the maychen (which I think must mean mansion?) whereon he now lives. My son Asa to have the Maychen wheron he now lives. 3rd I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary KING two hundred dollars in the ---- what I have heretofore given her a memorandum of which may be seen in a small book where mention is made of what I ever have given her. 4th I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Nancy PORTER two hundred dollars including what she has which may be seen aforesaid. 5th I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Barbary GENTRY the sum of two hundred dollars with what I have heretofore given her which may be found as above mentioned. 6th I give and bequeath unto Fay LOVELACE two hundred dollars including what I have heretofore given her which may be seen aforesaid. 7th I give and bequeath to my grandson Asa PORTER one cow and calf which I now milk. 8th Now if after the foregoing bequeaths are made then should still remain property to any amount whatever I wish it to be equally divided between my four above mentioned daughters 9th I do hereby appoint and approve Alexander KING, Nicholas GENTRY and Richard LOVELACE executors of this my last will and testament and it is my wish that they shall execute Deeds to Clifton and Simeon HALL, Simeon HARRIS and Simeon HALL Jr. and witness Whereof I have herunto set my hand and affixed my seals this 9th day of April in the year of our Lord 1814.
