Holsclaw, of Bullitt County, Kentucky, hereby make, publish and declare this instrument of writing as and for my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills at any time by me made. I direct tht all my just debts be paid. I will and devise all my estate to my beloved wife, Estella Holsclaw, as long as she shall remain my widow and in case she should remarry, one-half of said estate remaining at the date of her marriage shall go to my brothers and sisters, or their legal heirs under the laws of descent and distribution. I hereby direct that all my lands and personal property be sold, (except such articles of personalty as my wife desires to keep) and the proceeds turned over to my wife with the remainder of my estate. Out of my estate I direct that the sum of One Thousand Dollars be set aside and invested for the purpose of taking care of Charles Shoptaw during his last illness and defraying his funeral expenses when he dies and that portion of the will which states that all my estate shall go to my wife, means that all of said estate except enough to pay my just debts and the OneThousand Dollars bequest to said Shoptaw. I hereby nominate J. W. Hardaway and J. L. Williams, as my executors to carry out the provisions of this will and sk the Court probating this will to appoint them as such executers and I hereby empower them to sell my real estate and to perform and do all other acts necessary to carrying out this wil.. Zimmerman State of Kentucky County of Bullitt .....Sct. I, Lindsay Ridgway Clerk of the Bullitt County Court in the State of Kentucky, certif that the foregoing last will and testament of J.C. Holsclaw, deceased, was on the 14th day of May 1923, produced in open Court and proved by the oaths of J.V. Ashby and J.R. Zimmerman, subscribing witnesses thereto, to have been signed and acknowledged by J.C. Holsclaw, to be his last will and testament in their presence and in the presence of each other, -that they attested same at his request, -in his presence and in the presence of each other,- full capacity of the mind of the said testator at the time of making said will was also proved and same being fully proved as required by law was admitted to probate and ordered to be recorded as the last will and testament of J.C.
