KkY Courthouse July 1986, p. 95 I Stephen Hilton tho old and impotent yet rational have directed my Clerk to write this Instrument of writing to be recorded in Bullitt Register as a perpetual testimony of this my last will and testament which I now make in the presence of god and the subscribing Witnefs. First I commit my spirit to my god who gave it. And I desire that the frail body when I die may be decently interred by my surviving friends and neighbors. second. I bequeath all I pofsefs both real and personal to my beloved wife Diana and son William to be held by them in common. but on this condition that my wife may at her death have the disposal of the personal Estate but the real Estate shall forever appertain to my son to be held or disposed of by him after the death of his mother as he shall think proper. But should my wife survive my son, in this case my wife shall become the sole pofsefser of the estate both real and personal. Unto this my last will and testament I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 29th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and nine. Stephen Hilton seal Witnefs present: Joseph Irwin, William Hilton, William Overall At a County Court held for Bullitt County on Monday the 3rd day of July 1815 It was ordered that all papers filed in the Clerks Office of this County and which by law were required to be recorded,should be recorded forthwith - In pursuance of which order, and it appearing that the written will of Stephen Hilton was on the 28th day of May 1810 proven by the oaths of Joseph Irwin and William Hilton subscribing witnefses thereto - I do ceretify that I have truly Recorded the same in my office as Clerk of said County. Given under my hand this 10h day of July 1815. James Halbert -------------------------------------- Stephen Hilton, b. abt. 1740, d. 28 May 1810 Bullitt Co., KY. Married abt 1765. His wife, Diana, b. abt 1745, d. aft 29 Dec 1809. Their children were: 1. William F. HILTON, b. abt 1766, died after 1835, Hardin or Bullitt Cos. KY. He married Lucy BELT. 2. Elizabeth HILTON, b. abt 1767, died 1 Oct 1854 @ Cane Run, Nelson, KY She mar. a Mr. Brown. 3. Ann "Nancy" HILTON, b. 17 Feb 1769. Died 4 Feb 1839 Bullitt Co., KY. She mar. William OVERALL, Sr. on 29 July 1794, Nelson Co., KY. William OVERALL and his wife, Ann, lie buried side by side in the Overall Graveyard which is about a half-mile, as the crow flies, NW of New Salem Baptist Church in Bullitt Co. 4. Mary HILTON, b. abt 1773, died aft 1830, Hardin Co. KY. She mar. Thompson OVERALL, the bro. of William OVERALL, Sr., on 29 Jul 1794, Nelson Co., KY. Mary outlived her husband who died young in an accident.
