Bullitt County Will Book C p. 486 In the name of God Amen, I Catharine JONES of Bullitt County, State of Kentucky being weak in body but of sound disposing mind and memory do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and Testament in manner and form following towit: That after my death I will and desire to be buried in a plain decent christian manner Second That my physicians Bill and funeral expenses be paid any Physicians bill being all the debt I individually owe I stand security for my son Henry JONES on a note to McCORMACK who had sold the same to William HARDMAN for the sum of about eleven or twelve dollars perhaps the amount is not so large, which if not paid by my said son Henry with his own money or property must be paid out of my personal estate. After the payment of my physicians bill my funeral expenses and the HARDMAN debt if not paid by my son Henry, It is my will and desire that all the balance of my estate both real and personal be equally divided among my grand children: Elizabeth JONES, Martin Van Buren JONES, John JONES, William JONES and Nicholas JONES being the children of my son Henry JONES but it is my will and desire that my personal property remain in the possession and under the management of my said son Henry JONES except so much of my personal property which consists of One bay horse, three feather beds and furniture, One walnut Cupboard and furniture and cooking Utensils and fifteen head of sheep as will be sufficient to pay said debts and funeral expenses until my said grand children shall arrive at the age of twenty and one years and then if any portion of my said personal property should remain in his possession to be equally divided amongst my said Grand children. It is also my will and desire that my tract of land of One hundred acres lying on the east fork of Coxes Creek in Bullitt County conveyed to me by Frederic. W. G. ALEXANDER on the 16 day of October 1830 And recorded in the clerks office of the Bullitt County Court and which is hereby willed and devised to my said Grand children be and remain in the possession , occupation and use of my said son Henry that he may be enabled with the proceeds and the personal property give to my said grand children as support until they shall reach the age of twenty one years then to be equally divided among them And in case an equal division cannot be made of the tract of land hereby willed and devised to them then and in that case it is my will and desire that the tract of land be sold and the money arising from the sale of the same be equally divided among them. I do hereby appoint my friend Nicholas ASH Executor of this my last will and Testament. In Witness whereof I hereto set my hand and affix my seal this eleventh day of August 1845.
