I, Sarah JOHNSON of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky, do make and publish my last will and testament as follows The lot of ground on which I now live and lying in or near the town of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and the same purchased by me of Wesley PHELPS and Wife, I will and devise as follows, to wit: To Lucinda BRISCOE my sister, I devise the eastern end of said lot running west 125 feet including the house. The remainder of said lot I will and devise in equal parts to my sister Evaline SIMMONS, to my brother Charles SWEARANGEN, to my sister Bettie JONES, and to my sister Jane VOWELS. Bettie JONES is to have the lot lying next to and adjoining the lot herein before devised to Lucinda BRISCOE, and Charles SWEARANGEN is to have the lot next to Bettie JONES and Emaline SIMMONS is to have the lot next to Chas. SWEARANGEN and Jane VOWELS is the lot next to Emaline SIMMONS. Witness my hand this 7th day of June 1884. Sarah JOHNSON (her mark) attest. HALL Clerk of the Bullitt County Court in the State of Kentucky certify that on the first day of September 1884 the foregoing last will and testament of Sarah JOHNSON (Col) was presented in open court and was proved by the oaths of JF COMBS and EW HALL subscribing wittnesses thereto to have been signed, acknowledged and delivered in their presence by said Sarah Johnson to be her last will and testament and they attested same in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other, and that she was of sound mind and memory at the time of executing same, and it being fully proved as required by law was ordered to be recorded and that I have truly recorded it with this certificate in my office this the 22nd of September, 1884.
