I JAMES PENDLETON of the County of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky being of sound mind and memory But knowing the uncertainty of all things here below Do constitute and ordain this to be my last will and Testament In manner and Form hereafter mentioned revoking all other wills concerning my worldly property heretofore by me made To all intents and purposes. Item: I give and bequeath all my worldly property which it hath pleased almighty God to bestow on his unprofitable servant unto my four youngest children Towit: MARGARET, MALINDA PENDLETON, her mother, EDMUND GAINES, MINERVA JANE and WILLIAM CLAYTON. Item: I have given all my other children, eleven in number long since all that I was able or intended to give them. In witnesse whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this seventh day of January 1841. I intended to mention the said property above mentioned to be (the word given interlined before signed) divided at lawfull age or day of marriage so as to assist the other small property by remaining in one stock (?). And lastly I constitute and appoint my son JAMES COLEMAN PENDLETON and my friend NOAH SUMMERS my Executors and my wife REBECCA PENDLETON Executrix, Revoking all other wills by me heretofore made. KY Court I think that this James is a son of Philip PENDLETON and Martha AUBREY first of Stafford and Culpeper Co. and later of Jefferson Co. KY but am not certain?
