KY Will Book B p. 199 Whereas ELIZABETH ROGERS, Administratrix of the Estate of EDWARD ROGERS dec’d but has made no Settlement with the County Court of Bullitt County and the Said ELIZABETH ROGERS and the undersigned hers & representatives have made a settlement and have agreed as follows: That the said ELIZABETH ROGERS and her Securities in the administration Bond are to be and they are hereby released from all liability on Said Bond, the undersigned having received of her their proportionate part of the negroes and personal estate to which they are entitled except as is herein after mentioned. The said ELIZABETH gives up to the heirs her dower in the negroes and personal property and receives in lieu thereof during her natural life for her Support the following property towit: One negro woman named MILLY, all the house - hold and kitchen furniture, farming utensils, Three horse creatures, Seventeen head of Cattle, Seventeen or Eighteen Sheep and the stock of hogs, the said property to be used by her for her support & maintenance in her family and if there should be any remaining at her death it is to be divided between the Heirs. It being the true intent and meaning of this writing that a final Settlement has taken place between the administratrix & Heirs and the Said administratrix & heirs Privately (?) (very dark) released from all responsibility on the same, the land having been divised to be sold no claims for rent heretofore is to be charged against her and the land is to be Sold ---- her dower which after her death goes to the purchaser.
