Troutman I, C.F. Troutman, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and publish the following as my last will and testament: FIRST- I give and devise to my beloved wife, Ada B. Troutman, the lot on Main street in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, purchased by me of B.B. Ball, on which we live, together with the dwelling and its contents and all property in and about the premises. Also, the lot on Water street known as the Gill property in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, but the use and occupancy of said property is devised to Robert and Annie Troutman as long as they shall live; and, in the event of the death of one of them, to the survivor, provided they and the survivor shall pay the taxes on said property and keep said property in repair; the failure to comply with either of these conditions shall work a forfeiture of the right of occupancy of said property and the failure to live on said property shall work a forfeiture of said right. SECOND- I give and devise to my son, Woodford B. Troutman, sixty (60) shares of the Capital Stock of the Bullitt County Bank, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and the sum of Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars to be paid to him by my Executrix as soon as convenient, out of my estate. THIRD- I give and devise to my son, C. F. Troutman, Jr., the lot I own on the North side of Second street in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, running from Doctor's Alley to the McCormick lot- and also my interest in the lot owned by Troutman bros., lying on Main street and Second street, in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and bounded on the East by Doctor's Alley and on the South by the lot of Dr. R.I. Kerr- and also my interest in the stock of goods and notes and accounts belonging to the firm of Troutman Bros., subject to the payment of one-half of the liabilities of said firm. He is also required to pay his mother, Ada B. Troutman, the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars per year for a period of four years, or at such other times as may be agreed upon between them; and the payment of said sum is made a charge upon the property devised to him. FOURTH- To my wife, Ada B. Troutman, I give and devise the remainder of my estate, real and personal, wherever located; and she is empowered and authorized to sell and convey any real estate I may own, if desired or necessary in the settlement of my estate. I do not desire any inventory of my estate filed. I nominate my wife, Ada B. Troutman, as Executrix of my estate and request the Court not to require of her any surety as such.
