The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free ********************************************************************* Grant South of Green River Miller Lee Butler County, KY Book 14 Page 37 FHC #0272834 Isaac Shelby Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all to whom these presents shall come greeting know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a certificate number 119 (The State price paid without Interest) granted by the County Court of Logan in July 1801 agreably to an act of assembly for settling and improving the vacant land of the Commonwealth there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Miller Lee a certain tract or parcel of land Containing twenty two acres by survey bearing date the Twenty Sixty day of February 1812 lying and being in the County of Butler on the waters of gasper (?) river and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a large poplar on John Rices line and corner to John Lanb running thence North twenty East one hundred and forty poles to a dogwood thence North eighty East three poles to 2 dogwood and black gum thence due South one hundred and thirty two to a large poplar thence due West fifty two poles to the Beginning With its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Miller Lee and his heirs forever In Witness whereof the said Isaac Shelby Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal of said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the twentyith day of Dec in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Thirteen and of the Commonwealth the Twenty Sixth.
