Welches Creek Ky July 20 1897

This is to certify that I Wilford Gary of the county of Butler 
and the state of Ky of the first part and A B and A S Embry of 
the county aforesaid in the second part witnesseth that the party 
of the first part has this day sold to the party of the second part 
1 boundary of timber on the land which *illegible* part now lives 
on the following boundary commencing on A J Phelps line at mouth 
of Petie Hause Hallau with same to the road running to A S Embry 
there with an old fence.Raw to Wilford Gary oat field with the 
fence at L G Weesley's line there with his line the corner there 
with Bennie Bryant *illegible* Embry and A J Phelps lines to the 
beginning the party of second part is to all the white oak timber 
with will make staves from 18 wekes at steep and up and the above 
named boundary for the sum of $100.00 to be paid two months from
 date of this writing staves to stand good for Richard Haney until paid.
