He transferred to Company "E" of the 17th Regiment KY Volunteer Cavalry the 18th day of November 1864 ( he was 42 years old) by reenlistment at Russellville KY. He mustered out September 20th 1865 ( he was 43 years old) honorably discharged at Louisville KY. He was admitted to the National Military Home near Leavenworth Kansas on the 17th day of May 1886 (age 64 years). He died 28th of February 1892 (age 69 years old) in the hospital at the National Military Home Leavenworth Kansas.
