He was therefore born in 1756. He served as a lieutenant during the Revolution. He died January 8, 1821. His widow, Sally Porter, applied for pension in 1838 aged 75 and she was therefore born in 1763. She was Sally Johnson before her marriage which took place June 20, 1782. She died August 25, 1843. Their children were: William C.; Sally, married ____ McLin; Elizabeth D. married _____ Campbell: and Horatio D. Porter. William C. Porter and Sally McLin were living in 1856.
