Barnett of the first part & Lewis D. Barham both of the Co of Calloway & State of KY, Witnesseth That for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred & fify dollars to him the sd James H. Barnett in hand the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the sd J.H. Barnett he the sd J.H. Barnett hereby bargains sells, conveys aliens ... unto him the sd L.D. Barham one certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the Co & State aforsd To wit, The South east qr of Section Twenty one, Township one, Range five east containging one hundred & sixy acres more or less by survey unto him the sd L.D. Barham his heirs or assigns to have & to hold forever agst the claim or claims of all & every person or persons & by these presents will forever warrant & defend the right title & claim in & to sd land forever unto him the sd L.D. Barham his heirs or assigns forever: In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal day & date above. Wit: J.H. Barnett SEAL R.B. Clausel Nathel Barnett State of Kentucky Calloway County I Edmund H. Curd Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from James H. Barnett to Lewis D. Barham was on the 27th day of May 1839 produced to me in my office and proven by the oaths of the subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed hand and seal of the said James H. Barnett for the purposes therein contained. In testimony of which the same together with the forgoing certificate stands truly recorded in my office and under my hand this 9th day of October 1839.
