Book D, p, 42 Wilford Turner to James Barnett
Calloway County, Kentucky Deed Book D, p. 42 This Indenture made and
entered into this the 8th day of February
1837 Between Wilford D. Turner of the one part and James H. Barnett
of the other part Witnesseth that I the sd W.D. Turner for and in
Consideration of the sum of forty dollars to him in hand paid hath
this day Bargained and sold and do by these presents Bargain sell
and convey unto the said Jas H. Barnett a certain parcel of land
lying and being in the state of Kentucky & County of Calloway on
the waters of Wild Catt Creek and known as a prt of the North West
Quarter of section twenty five township two range five East to
commence on the N.W. corner of sd section to run East to two plumb
and two persimmon bushes in a branch to a corner made by said W.D.
Turner to Jesse M. Turner thence to run with said line to the south
line of said Quarter thence west to the corner thence North to the
Beginning, containing forty two acres mor or less and I the said
W.D. Turner do convey to the said J.H. Barnett the above named land
to him and his heirs and every part thereof ree and clear from one
and my heirs forever in Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal
the day and date above written.   Wilford D. Turner  SEAL Signed sealed
and delivered in presence of us Wm W. Bonner State of Kentucky    I Edmund
H. Curd Clerk of the County Court for Calloway County      the County
aforesaid do certify that this deed
from Wilford D. Turner to James H. Barnett was on the 4th day of
May 1840 produced to me in my office by the said grantor and
acknowledge by him to be his act and deed hand and seal for the
purposes therein contained. In testimony of which the deed is
